New Malden - Welcome to our neighbourhood

New Malden and Coombe are located in the leafy Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames, neighbouring Norbiton, Raynes Park, Motspur Park, Worcester Park and Wimbledon. There is a wonderful sense of community, fantastic amenities, schools and transport links. The open spaces of Beverley Park in New Malden, Sir Joseph Hood Memorial ground in Motspur Park and the surrounding Royal Parks, make us a very green spot. New Malden & Coombe has it all, and is in our opinion a very special place to reside.

Green Spaces

Within New Malden, a 5 minute walk from the High Street you will find the Blagdon Road recreation ground. Around the corner is Beverley Park, beloved by the local residents and beautified by community initiative ‘The Friends of Beverley Park’. Motspur Park benefits from the large Sir Joseph Hood playing fields with tennis courts, splash park, playground and sports activities.

To the North, Royal Richmond Park is just a 3km walk or cycle from New Malden Station.

To the East, Wimbledon Common is a cycle away for Womble spotting.

To the South explore Nonsuch Park.

To the West, Bushey Park and Hampton Court Palace’s Home Park are in close proximity.

There are several National Trust sites and RHS Wisley a short drive away.

Transport

Frequent South West trains from both New Malden, Norbiton and Motspur Park stations reach London Waterloo in less than 25 minutes. There are also frequent buses to Kingston-upon-Thames, our local shopping hub. The A3 runs alongside New Malden, making the Surrey Hills and South Coast very accessible.

Schools

The local schools are such an asset to New Malden. We are lucky to have several highly sought-after Ofsted outstanding primary and secondary state schools. There are also excellent private and faith schools. Click below to be taken to our local schools’ latest Ofsted reports.

Fitness & Wellbeing

There are fitness and well-being clubs and classes in abundance, from cycling to bootcamps, yoga to zumba. The Malden Centre has an excellent pool, plentiful classes and short courses, for both adults and children. There are numerous sports clubs in the area, as well as multiple golf courses, tennis clubs and community groups.

The High Street

Local businesses include a wonderful array of Korean, Italian, British, Japanese, Turkish and Indian restaurants, coffee shops, boutique small businesses, as well as multiple high-street chains. Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Tesco & Lidl can be found amongst smaller independent stores. The high street is bustling at the weekend especially, with the farmer market.

We contribute to the New Malden Community

We feel strongly about enhancing and contributing to our local community.

Our two passion projects are:

  • Investing in the future of the children of New Malden
  • Keeping Beverley Park looking beautiful!
