The story behind FarleyWood

Named after Farley and Woody, two small dachshunds with big personalities, FarleyWood was established in 2020 to offer a friendly and proactive way to enjoy buying and selling family houses in New Malden.

Our excellent marketing ensures that every New Malden home is showcased to its maximum potential.

Over two years later, having won four awards for our customer service, we have sold over 40 stylish local homes with a combined value of over £35 million. We have achieved on average 101% of our asking prices and have built a reputation locally for our accurate pricing and efficiency.

FarleyWood has been established through word of mouth recommendations within our community.

I love living in New Malden with my husband Daniel and our two daughters, Imogen & Isla. What we love best is our walks in Richmond Park at the weekend and our daily trips to Beverley Park with our dogs. The endless activities for children keep us very busy and since moving here from Southfields in 2015 we have put down deep roots and have made many new friends. I love the community life here and firmly believe that we are London’s best kept secret suburb!

I feel that the residents of New Malden deserve a refreshing, alternative and personalised service when buying and selling local homes. My dedicated hands-on approach means that I successfully see all of my sales through to completion. I achieve this through my transparent, friendly and strategy-based service.

I started out as an Estate Agent a month before my eighteenth birthday. It was a gap year plan but I was lucky enough to find my calling and have never looked back. I firmly believe that the best person to sell a home is someone who cares enough to answer every question about the property in detail and with conviction. Someone who is bursting with information and enthusiasm for the local area.

I love matching families with homes in our wonderful local community and helping people to start their next chapter.

Back in 2013 I discovered New Malden when looking for a house to buy and I knew I had stumbled upon a hidden gem. My family have thrived here ever since!

Originally from France, I trained as a lawyer but quickly discovered that this career path was not creative enough for me. After a short stint in New York I moved to London to become a Wedding planner, before moving onto a marketing role.

I left behind the corporate world of Marketing when my daughters Ivy and Margot came along and I now eat and sleep interior design, as you will soon find out when you meet me.

As Consultant Creative Director for FarleyWood, I am able to flex my marketing muscles and combine this with my love of property and design. I love bringing my vision to home owners. As a home stylist, I meet with our clients to help them to prepare their home to be marketed, ensuring that we showcase every property to its full potential.

Samantha Dekker

Originally from Holland, aged 7 my family and I moved to the North Devonshire countryside. As an adult I have lived in New Malden since 2003 but it wasn’t until 2020 that I first met Victoria when I had struggled to sell my house through one of the high street agents. Victoria was a breath of fresh air and handled our sale in such a friendly and supportive way that I very much felt a part of her FarleyWood ‘family’. When my partner Mike and I, along our two little girls had settled into our new house on Cambridge Avenue I started assisting Victoria with administration and other aspects of the business.

I am able to apply my many years of experience as an Executive Assistant and support Victoria in delivering the highest standard of attention to detail, in what is a truly focused and caring service.

We feel strongly about enhancing and contributing to our local community.
